Hello, my name is Amanda Jusino. I am currently a Junior, attending Carroll High school in Dayton Ohio. I will be graduating, High School in the year 2022. I moved to Dayton in the Fall of 2017, after the catastrophic aftermath of the Category 5 hurricane Maria destroyed my school. My ultimate goal as an athlete is to prepare for my future. My biggest dream and goal, is to have the opportunity to play college volleyball while getting the best education. I'm interested in pursing a career in Sports Medicine or Aerospace Engineering. In order to make this dream a reality, I realize it will take a lot of hard work, and perseverance. I have learned through my older sister, older brother and parents guidance, that not dream or goal is unreachable when you apply yourself for it and work for it.
One of my strengths is my mental approach the game. I enjoy competition and I enjoy the adrenaline and playing a high performance team along with my team mates and coach. I love to bring a competitive approach to a game along with high positive energy for my team and program as a whole. After a game win or lose its all about the experience or learning from your mistakes and improving, but also patting your team on the back and seeing all the positive that was done, communication, passes, sets, blocks, hits serves anything that was done right needs to be applauded.
