Hi, I'm Scarlett Rahrig, and I will be a 2022 graduate. I've been playing club volleyball for 5 years. I tried a lot of sports before I finally decided on volleyball, and once I started playing I knew that it was the sport for me because I enjoyed the skills that I learned on and off the court, and I enjoyed the friendships that were created. Volleyball has taught me a lot over the years such as being a team player because in order to succeed on the court you need the whole team. One great player will not win a game, but one great team will. I also learned responsibility because while winning may be a team effort you need to do your part on and off the court to ensure the win. It's your job to give someone an opportunity to score. I also learned how important the friendships created are because friends may come and go but teammates are always there, and you will always be around them. The girls on your team become your best friends, and that is such an important takeaway from the game.
