Alizia Lagando '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I am Alizia Lagando. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to play volleyball for 9 years. Playing volleyball has not only given me so many amazing friendships along the way, but it has taught me how to be a good sport and teammate.   I want to play at the next level.  I love challenging myself to be the best player I can be. I have been playing volleyball for nine years now. And it is somehow not enough. It never gets old. I truly love this sport. Volleyball is the best thing to ever happen to me. 

I feel I would be an impact player on any team.  I have played every position except for libero. Last high school season our setter was unexpectedly injured, so I stepped in and set for nineteen sets. I ended up with 197 assists that season. I have been a six rotation player either running a 6/2 offense as a setter and outside hitter or as an outside hitter and ds. Both on National club teams and high school. I have been on varsity since freshman year. I was captain on the freshman and Jv teams as well. I was the first girl in Huron Tiger Volleyball to play in a freshman, JV, and varsity match in one night. Trusting the process, my junior year I was a key player.  I received honorable mention in the Sandusky Bay Division and third-team All-District six. 

My goal is to play at the highest level possible for me. Along with being a competitive school athletically, I would like a semi-competitive school academically. I am looking for a school that feels like I belong there. That feels like a home away from home. I am looking to study medical imaging or become an ultrasound technician.   I hope to find a school that fits me!
