Personal Statement
I am motivated to be the best at what I do. My freshman year of high school I did not make the varsity team at first, but that did not discourage me, it motivated me to do better. I communicated and was a leader on the court, even if we were in between plays. I worked on my serving and hitting from back row and eventually around half way through the season, my coach told me I would be full time varsity. It felt so good knowing that after I worked hard to earn a spot, it eventually paid off. I did not stop practicing hard during scheduled and unscheduled hours because I knew that if I worked hard to take someones spot then someone else could do the same to me. I never quit doing the little things and never did the bare minimum because I always want to improve. My junior year was rough because we lost a lot of girls due to injuries and the team had to adjust. We were short hitters and it was a struggle, so I suggested me being an outside, though that seems unrealistic being short and a libero. I ended up filling the spot as an outside hitter until ours was cleared because I practiced my hitting A TON. I am motivated to be the best athlete no matter what position I am playing whether I am used to it or not. I will adjust and work hard to be a well-rounded player and the same goes for me in the classroom.
