One of the things I am most proud of is not taking anything for granted. Whether there are opportunities at school, with friends, to travel, or just in everyday life, I try and make the most of them. The same holds true for volleyball. An example is in 2015 when my East Coast Power 15 Electric club team had the opportunity to go to USAV Nationals by finishing in the top two at the Keystone Region Bid Tournament. Me and my teammates took full advantage of this opportunity and got to experience Nationals.
I was introduced to CYO Volleyball by a friend when I was in the sixth grade. We went to watch the Villanova University Women’s team and on that day I knew I wanted to play college volleyball. Every day on and off the court I strive to reach my goal of playing college volleyball. Volleyball has taught me that there are no secrets for getting better. The only “magic” is hard work and dedication to get you to where you want to be. So everyday I’m working hard to better myself personally, academically and athletically. In addition to graduating with at least a 3.5 GPA, one of my goals is to become more involved and make the most of my high school experience. I believe this will prepare me to accept a position with a school that will provide the most opportunity academically and athletically. I have the type of personality that can keep my teammates loose during stressful times while still maintaining my own focus on the task at hand. Volleyball has always been, and I hope will always continue to be, fun for me. I love working hard to be successful. I love working together and love the camaraderie of my teammates. But most of all, I love the game!
