Ever since 7th grade I have dreamed about playing volleyball at the collegiate level. I have been a competitive cheerleader since I was 6 years old. I made a difficult decision to give up cheer after spending the summer of freshman year training for volleyball. I knew it was where my heart was at and where I wanted to put all of my time and effort. During my freshman year, I was able to start a few games and get playing time throughout the season on varsity. Although 20-21 season was challenging and shorter due to the COVID pandemic, I still ended up starting on varsity as a setter the whole season. This really boosted my confidence and proved to me that I have what it takes to be a successful athlete. This past season 21-22 I was again the starting setter for our varsity team. I was recognized as one of the nominees for girls volleyball player of the year in the northwest area of PA and Region 6 All Stars - first team. I have also participated in regional and national club teams as the starting setter. Along with volleyball, I also participate in track and field for extra workouts and conditioning and hold a part-time job throughout the year. I take all honors/AP classes and continue with a high GPA. My goal is to continue to take advanced level classes in hopes of beginning college classes while I'm still in high school, continuing with above a 4.0 and excelling in my sports. At this time, I am not sure of an exact major, but I am interested in education. When it comes to athletics and my academics, I am dedicated and a hard worker.
