My name is Sarah Adams. I’m a high school sophomore from Fairview, PA and I have been playing volleyball for 7 years including 3 years of club volleyball. In addition to volleyball, I am involved in numerous other activities. I have played basketball for 6 years, I am in my school’s photo club, fashion club, and Spanish club. Outside of school I love to spend time outdoors with my family skiing, snowboarding, camping, hunting and fishing. I also work at an animal kennel, which is a great high school job for me because I love animals.
Academically I am a straight A student enrolled in honors classes, and I aspire to be a physical therapist. My coaches describe me as coachable, goal oriented, good spirited, and always ready to improve. Volleyball is important to me because I have made so many great relationships and am hoping to continue to make more great relationships with teammates in college.
Volleyball has always been something that has been fun for me. I love how dynamic the game is, with a pace and momentum that ebbs and flows. I love how a team can turn an entire set, and match, around with one amazing play. My favorite part of playing volleyball is that it can never be a game dominated by just one person on the court, you must trust your teammates and work together for every point. I started playing volleyball in 4th grade by going to some small clinics held at my school. I am grateful for those introductory clinics because that is where my love for volleyball began. Looking back, I see how far my knowledge, skill, and drive in the game have come, which makes me even more excited for the years of playing that are ahead of me in high school and college.
