I have always been involved in a variety of sports; including Softball, Basketball, and Soccer. My interest for Volleyball started in my 8th grade year when a Volleyball team had first been introduced to my school. I immediately fell in love with the sport and was quick to learn the game of Volleyball. I soon became aware that Volleyball was my main passion and I later gave up other sports to continue to solely focus of Volleyball and my education.
I find that leadership and teamwork tend to play a big role of cohesive team. On and off the court I try to be a role model to under classmen and to be a well rounded player for my coaches. I want to be seen as someone they can rely on to be approachable, coachable, and dependable. My coaches see my determination and that I have a steadfast loyalty to them, my team, and for this sport. I am versatile player who can adapt to a position where I am needed. I have been a Setter, Outside Hitter, Middle Hitter, and Defensive Specialist. As a team player and captain of my high school and club team, I am always looking for challenges to overcome in order to be a more successful and dominant player.
I view my volleyball career as a family commitment. I honor the sport and my family with my actions on and off the court. My parents encourage me to set my expectations high when it comes to sportsmanship and respect for players, coaches, and referees. I am proud to have the support of my family.
I look forward to continuing my education and Volleyball career in college. I look forward to the academic and athletic opportunities that lay ahead.
