Alison Gmerek '17 Recruiting Profile

My dream/goal is to play collegiate volleyball.  I have been working towards this goal since I was in ninth grade.  I am dedicated,  hard working and never, ever give up. Volleyball is my passion and I know that it is difficult to be fortunate enough to be able to play at the collegiate level, but I am working hard and am not giving up.  

I love being part of a team and being a great teammate and can't imagine not being part of a volleyball family once my high school career is over. I am a leader on the court and try to set the best example for my teammates whether it be in my dedication and drive for the sport, never giving up when losing a game,  or always being respectful to coaches and opponents.

Not only do I work hard at the sport, but I am also dedicated to my academics.  I continue to get good grades while taking honors courses, being involved in the Key Club and other charity work while also practicing every day, taking extra volleyball lessons at Spooky Nook Sports and strength training at Power Train Sports.

If given the chance and opportunity, I would not let you down.
