Hello, my name is Michelle Palomino. I am a junior at Franklin Towne Charter High School. I have been playing volleyball for about four years. In the past, I have played soccer for a long time for about six years. Some main hobbies include playing indoor and outdoor volleyball with my parents, gardening, cosmetology, and studying a new language.
I am a straight-A student in academics, and one day I will open my own business. I focus on what I do to ensure that I am pleased with myself over what I have done that day. I work hard for things I am passionate about and always do my best to learn and become better.
Volleyball is a sport that is incredibly important to me as it has changed me as a better person. It first started when a saw a volleyball match for the first time in person, I loved the way that people had trust in each other and communicated but also had fun at the same time. Everything seemed so boring to me and I was never content but until I saw that match I decided to try it out myself. The moment I went and played in my first ever real match in my middle school team made me change forever. The crowd cheered for me and it aspired me to be better, the way my whole team communicated with other and we helped one another to feel better when they couldn't make a point made me have a feeling of happiness. I realized I had finally found something that truly made me happy and I never want to let it go. I'm a fast learner since I am very dedicated to being better at volleyball. I'll do whatever it takes to make it at the top and that's why it would be an honor to play at college. I believe in myself and I won't stop until I am satisfied with what I accomplished.
