As a young child I participated in many different activities such as dance, gymnastics, swimming, played basketball and soccer and then started playing volleyball. My passion for volleyball was augmented at a young age when I would go to watch my mom’s women’s league volleyball games. I remember passing the ball back and forth and loving the game.
My desire for volleyball keeps growing every time I touch the ball. One of the many reasons I like playing volleyball is the fact that it is a team game. There is no better feeling than putting in all the work to get better with other players that share your passion and seeing your effort come to fruition. One of my volleyball highlights was being Provincial Silver Champions.
Academics have always been very important to me and since I grew up playing multiple sports at the same time while completing my school work, I have had to learn how to manage all my time wisely. My favorite subject is science. I love learning about chemistry and the human body.
From a young age my parents taught me to give back to my community, which in turn builds communities. It is important to me that I attend a school and play for a team that has a strong sense of community and is dedicated to giving back to it.
