Personal Statement
Thanks to my dad, I understand that hard work and extra time shows itself with results. I've learned that an extra 30 minutes serving a week can get me just enough ahead to give me an opportunity to prove my skill in a game. I can see how getting in extra workouts benefits me in the long run, I know all of this and don't plan on forgetting it. It's a habit now to want to work hard and to keep working until I understand what I'm doing. This doesn't only apply to athletics, I use this academically and in my everyday life. I study hard when I don't understand something, I keep going at a project until I believe it's beyond acceptable. I also give my best every day to be a good teammate, whether it is cheering on someone else while they play a position I could be playing, or helping out with small things. I intend to never forget these values because the benefit of them are clear to me.
