Volleyball is my first love, and I can't imagine going to college and not playing my favorite sport. It would be a dream come true to be able to play volleyball for your university, while pursuing my education. While I have spent most of my career playing setter, the last two years I have focused on libero. Due to injuries, I was asked to step in as Libero, and I absolutely love this position. Knowing I am responsible for the first contact, and setting the tone for the game, is exciting and empowering. Coming from being a setter, I understand the importance of a great pass, and work extremely hard to provide just that. Digging a hard hit, or breaking a serve is what I live for. Working hard and being coachable, is how I have improved my skills as Libero. I am 100% committed to my team and coaches. I have big goals and understand the work that I have to put in to achieve them. Thanks to my great coaches and hard work, my skills have improved since the beginning of this year and I can't wait to see the level I will be playing in just a few months.
I plan to major in a degree that will provide for my whole life. I have always been a strong student. I am extremely disciplined when it comes to my studies and being competitive keeps me fighting for an A in every class. My best subjects are Math, science and Language Arts. I like being challenged in the class room almost a much as I do on the court. I am looking forward to playing for a college or university that meets both my academic and athletic goals.
