Personal Statement

I have been playing volleyball since I was 11 years old.  I trained and played club volleyball at the age of 11 - 14 under Coach Yazdaninia,  Ex-Rights in Corpus Christi, Texas.  My freshman year at Calallen High School I played starting setter and all-around player for the Junior Varsity team, and was later moved up to Varsity for playoffs.

At the age of 15, I earned a position on the inaugural CC Force 151's in Corpus Christi.  This competitive team had just come off an AAU National Championship under CC Crossfire the year prior and I was one of few that earned an open spot on the team.   I have great hands,  I have strong defense, my club coach Crystal Lyne used me as a utility player my first year on her team.  We ended our season ranked 6th in the Lone Star Division, placing in the top 10 for most all tournaments we competed in.

My sophomore year at Calallen High School I played Varsity setter.  Our team won our area pre-season CCISD Spike-fest Tournament where we competed against some of the best teams in our area.  We finished our season 2nd in District, Bi-District champions and I was awarded All District Honorable Mention and an Academic All District Award.

My 2016 club season at 16, under Coach Kendra Potts, I have set, served and played defense to help our team place in the top 5 in open division tournaments this year, 3rd in the Colorado Crossroads, 1st in the Lone Star Classic in Corpus Christi, 3rd in the Cross Court Classic and 2nd in the Lone Star Classic Finals qualifying our team to compete in Indianapolis for Nationals.  Our team competed at the GJNC June 30 - July 3 in the USA Division.

My recent Junior year at Calallen High School, I set and played all around, all games.  We placed 2nd in District 30-5A and competed in the Regional Tournament here in Corpus Christi at our own Texas A&M Islander University.  Leading our district in assists, I was awarded First Team All District, Academic All District for 30-5A, and All-South Texas second team setter.   My club season with CC Force has been off to an incredible start.  We went undefeated at The Tour of Texas Qualifier which allowed us to compete in the Tour Stop in Division 2.  At the Tour Stop in Grapevine we qualified to compete in the Gold Bracket going into the Final which we placed 8th overall.  I have set and played RS in all sets, in all matches.  Our goal is to finish up the season, competing July 4 at Nationals, in Minneapolis.

I train hard with a rigorous work out, I am in great shape, energetic, have a great sense of humor, I LOVE to win and I enjoy playing volleyball and I look forward to playing at the collegiate level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
