Ellayna McNorton '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ellayna McNorton and I am 5'8" setter and defensive specialist.  I have been blessed to be able to play volleyball since I was in the third grad.  I made varsity my freshman year and was setter of the year for my district.  Going into my senior year I have 3000 assists and 1500 diggs.

Since I was little it has been my dream to play college volleyball.  Sports have helped me realize the effort, determination, and pure willpower that is needed to succeed in sports and in the classroom.

I have quick  feet and good strength.  Along with that, I am a team leader and try to set the example for the rest of my peers, on and off the court.  I am in my sophomore year and am the team captain.  I am a great encourager and try to offer positive motivation to my teammates.  My personality leaves me very coachable and I desire criticism to make me a stronger student athlete.  Effort is what I am known for, and my believe in giving 150% rests high on my priorities.   I believe my efforts have worked in the classroom, and on the field.

In the classroom, I study very hard and withhold a 3.7 GPA.  I am also actively involved in my school and community.  My mindset is to attend a college where I can challenge myself in both the academic and athletic realm of things.  I am open to all options and want to ultimately find a college that is best fit for me, academically and athletically.  With these things said, I desire to play at the highest level possible, positively impacting myself and the college I choose.  Above all else, I aspire to become a successful student, athlete, and role model to all around me, making my Savior and parents proud.
