I started playing volleyball in 6th grade. The very first day I picked up the ball I knew I was going to enjoy this sport. I have grow to love the sport more and more as I become more experienced. Something I believe sets me apart is my leadership and ability to be industrious. Now matter how big or little competition is I will always go out there and lead my team giving it 100%. One thing volleyball has taught is how to be confident. When I'm out on the court my confidence just comes out and I become a whole new person.
Some of my biggest influencers and supporters is my family. I am so lucky to have such strong and hardworking people to look up to. My parents and my brothers have shown me each and everyday that you have to work for your goals and not stop until you achieve them. When I was a freshman in High School I went straight to Varsity. One of my biggest challenges was not the level of competition it was my fear of messing up. I soon grew out of that stage and that's when my confidence really began to come through. I strive each and everyday to work hard not only athletically but academically as well. My goal in high school is to have great grades that back up my great playing ability. I want to stay in the top five in my class and graduate with a 4.0 GPA.
