Personal Statement

My academic goal is to become a nurse anesthetist, and I hope to play in a competitive school. I take very serious both my academic and athletic goals in my journey, and hope to play in a school that does the same. I am a team player and always strive to become the best I can be for my team, in addition I encourage and support my team members to overcame any weakness they may have-mentally or physically. I see a team as a body with each member doing a different job for the team, and knowing that the better each member is (mentally and physically) the higher the achievements of the team.

Training

  • Performance Training
  • 6 years
  • I have been doing and excelling at performance training since I was 11 years old. As I matured I started better understanding the impact this training has in my speed and strength in my game. I've done this training since I was in Junior High, in the four years in club and my 9A and 2 years of varsity. My father-a personal trainer-has trained me in the sport of basketball and at the gym with focus on speed and increasing my vertical jump since I was in 7th grade.
  • Optimal Sports Performance
  • 1 year
  • I started doing this training to focus on my vertical, speed, and force. It really has had a great impact in my vertical jump thus far. I can't wait to see where my vertical jump will be in 6 months.
  • The Volleyball School-Fundamentals
  • 2 years
  • I started taking taking volleyball fundamental classes when I was 11 years old. After two years of doing so I tried out for the first time at the Houston Juniors volleyball club. I was happily surprised to make their second level 14 Premier team.
  • The Volleyball School-Advance Training
  • 3 years
  • When I was 13 years old I was invited to practice in the Volleyball School Advance training class. This training is by invitation only and for high level performing athletes. This training is mostly composed of varsity athletes and on occasions the school invites committed volleyball players to expose us to more challenge practices. The school also brings in College Coaches of all level to lead this practice. Now, off course, I'm one of their varsity players, but I enjoy very much help challenge other up and coming players. Since there is not an additional space for other training, I'm going to add my privates here. I've taken privates since I was 11 years old to focus on those areas I needed to improve and perfect, I then used this advance training to practice what I've learned. On average I practice about 15 hours a week.

Additional Sports

  • Basketball
  • 2 years
  • Junior Varsity Team
  • When I started playing volleyball in junior high, my best friend was very athletic and tall and in love with basketball. I wanted her to play in the volleyball team. When I asked her, she told me that if I played in the basketball team, she would play vol
