Personal Statement
Securing a bid to AAU Junior Olympics for beach volleyball the last 3 years and also having been selected to play on a National indoor team in the DFW area has been the highlight of my volleyball career so far. I knew at a very early age that I wanted to play the game because I would watch older girls playing and was in awe of the game and their talent. Luckily watching my parents being business owners instilled in me a hard work ethic to put in the practice and work toward securing the bids and the National team positions. As a family we have always discussed nothing is given, but what you want should be earned in life. I have taken that to heart and remembered that when I am working towards my monthly and yearly goals on my volleyball path.
Academically my goal in high school is to finish within the top 50 of my class with a minimum of a 3.8 or higher GPA. In college I would like to secure a degree in Kinesiology then move on to major in Physical Therapy.
I have been fortunate to have had some great Coaches guiding my path during indoor and on the sand, and they have given me some great strategies to be part of a team. Thanks to these coaches I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice and leadership which will allow me to be a good fit for my next level of play in college, and I believe I can make an immediate impact with my defensive game and volleyball IQ.
