Personal Statement
I am a senior setter from Mexia, Texas and will graduate in June 2013. My final high school volleyball season is now over. I was the captain for my varsity high school volleyball team for three years. I have played club volleyball with Waco Juniors Volleyball Club for 6 years, being captain each year. I also played for Texas Image 16 Mizuno and WUVBA 17 (Waco Ultimate Volleyball Academy) for one year, being captian for the WUVBA 17's team. I have received various awards in my Varsity years including being awarded District 20-3A MVP in 2011. Other awards are listed in my NCSA profile. I was the varsity setter, running a 5-1 offense. I am looking for a four year college because I want to have the full college experience. I am open to many different geographical locations. I am planning to major in Speech Pathology. After three High School years, I am second in my class with a GPA of 5.369 on a 5.0 scale. I always try to encourage myself and my teammates to stay positive and always do their best. I am a very well rounded individual and participate in many activities other than volleyball. For example, I participate in Theater One Act Play, softball, cheer, I am an altar server at my church, and I am the National Honor Society president at my High School. I have two primary goals, one for academics and one for volleyball. My primary academic goal is to be valedictorian of the Class of 2013. My primary volleyball goal is to be talented enough to play at a competitive four year college by graduation 2013.
