My name is Amaris Carter, and I am a OH/RS/MB for the class of 2019. I have played volleyball for 5 years and I love it! In the indoor off season, I play beach volleyball to increase my agility, speed, endurance, court awareness, and vertical. As soon as the indoor season l starts I anxiously await to hear the first referee blowing the whistle to start a match or acknowledge a point well earned. I eagerly anticipate every dig, hit, and serve. I am passionate about the game. I bring all I have to the court I and I share my fervor with my team.
In 2014 I was selected to participate in the USAV A3 High Performance Program as a middle blocker. In 2015 and 2016, I was selected to participate in the Volleyball Factory Advanced Training program and was recognized on the AVCA Phenom List. I made my high school varsity volleyball team as a freshman and received an Academic All-District award. My sophomore year, I made First Team All-District 9-6A.
I aspire to play volleyball at a collegiate level, and if possible, continue to play abroad. I am searching for an opportunity to pursue my goals within an environment that will challenge me academically and athletically.
