TAYDEM LIGON '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Taydem Ligon and I’m a 17u volleyball player attending Travis High School. I’m an only child that grew up in an amazing household that encouraged me to be the best version of myself from a young age. I come from a family of passionate individuals and I follow closely in their footsteps when it comes to my athleticism while being the first to pursue a higher education.

I began playing volleyball in 4th grade because my best friends convinced me to try out for their team. Seven years later, I’m the only one out of my friend group who is still playing and I’m extremely proud of my continuous dedication. I sincerely believe that volleyball played a roll in raising me into the woman I am today by teaching me the importance of teamwork and empathy. This sport also through hardships like losses my way, and overcoming them strengthened my mentality during my upbringing.

I take my education very seriously and I hope to graduate in top 10 percent of my class while taking my AP’s and classes required by my academy. In my future, I’m looking for an institution that is equally as advanced academically as athletically. I’m confident in my ability to achieve both of my goals, and so should you.
