I come from a large family, so being part of a team has always been part of every day life for me. My older three siblings all played sports in high school, as well as college. The primary lessons I've learned from sports include the importance of being flexible and adapting to changing situations and circumstances beyond my control, even disappointing circumstances.
I've played on really good teams and average teams. In all these scenarios, my goal has always been to play the best that I can and to motivate those around me to do the same. I love volleyball because it has allowed me to forge great friendships, and it has created a strong link with my sisters, who also play. When considering college options, I want to be part of a program where the team strives to improve each year, and the individuals strive to encourage one another each day.
