Volleyball has taught me as much about life as anything I have ever done. Playing volleyball has reinforced for me what Benjamin Franklin once said: "Energy and persistence conquer all things."
I have pursued volleyball since 5th grade and it has not always been an easy path. Living in a small town, the opportunities for top level sports competition are fewer, but I have been fortunate to have some wonderful, supportive coaches who have helped me to gain skills and confidence along the way. I live on a farm so I am accustomed to hard work, and I am a very determined person once I set my mind on a goal.
I am a 3 year National Honor Society student with the ambition to study an accelerated Athletic Training curriculum: specifically, a 5 year B.S./M.S. degree program. I am an intelligent, responsible student; but also a joyful optimist with a positive outlook on life. When anything in life knocks me back, I continue to get back up, get back in the game, and keep moving forward. I am a loyal friend and committed teammate. No matter what team I am on, I always give 100% of my energy and enthusiasm. My ideal college experience has always included playing volleyball!
