Emmy Phillips '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5"10 defensive specialist/outside hitter for my high school varsity volleyball team in Wall, Texas. I will graduate in May 2017. This year, 2016, as a senior, I had a very successful season, helping lead my team to the Area Finals in Region 1, division 3A. I was very honored to be selected as MVP of my district 4-3A.  

Playing college volleyball is one of my biggest goals and aspirations. I have been a starter on my varsity team since I was a freshman, so I have had a lot experience with facing adversity and accomplishing goals as a team. The qualities I can bring to a team are leadership, intensity, and a competitive spirit. 

I am looking for a university or college that will be the best fit for me both academically and athletically! I am hoping to find that "home away from home", where I will have a strong bond with my team and enjoy all that college has to offer, as I work toward a degree in nursing or health sciences.   I have a lot of pride and school spirit and want to bring that energy to the college I attend.
