I play to win. When my team attends an AAU tournament or Super-Regional, I believe I am the best setter in the building. I work hard to have my play on the court prove those thoughts. I give 110%, and have not been off the court in any of the matches this season. I also expect 100% from my teammates at all times. I drive and motivate them to play hard through my attitude and efforts. Volleyball is definitely 'fun', but as stated before, I am there to WIN. For the 2018 club season, I have played every second of every match, never coming out of a single game.
I have been to multiple camps at various levels and enjoy working hard to get better and to continue learning techniques and my position. I believe you never stop learning in the game of volleyball. There is always room for improvement. I'm currently in 10th grade. In 2017 I made sophomore and JV volleyball team. For the 2018-19 season I will be on the JV and Varsity HS teams. At my school I'm involved in Hope Squad, which is a council for suicide prevention, and the LGBT council. I was elected to be a student counselor for suicide prevention, helping other students by giving them someone to talk to when in crisis.
My parents, whom I have a wonderful relationship with, are extremely supportive and do everything they can to help me succeed. They travel to all my games and often take many of my teammates. We have a great time together .
I am extremely active with my church youth group, and having proper morals, ethics, and values is extremely important to me. My faith in Jesus Christ is the guiding principle in my life, and that reflects in my sportsmanship and treatment towards others.
I want to play for a university and lead them to championships; division, conference and nationally. That is my goal.
