Personal Statement
At the age of nine I started playing volleyball after watching Misty May play beach volleyball in the 2012 Olympics. Once I stepped on the court for the first time, I knew that volleyball would be the sport for me. I desire to take my passion for the game on to the Collegiate level. Playing in college would be a dream come true, and is not an opportunity I would take lightly.
Since stepping on the court, my vertical jump sets me apart from a lot of people. I am quick on my feet, have a cunning float serve, and have a winning attitude. I am a team leader who constantly encourages my teammates and I am very coachable. I am hardworking and constantly training to improve my skills. I believe my work ethic will showcase me as one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find.
My hardwork is not just limited to the court but to the classroom as well. I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I desire to be a business owner one day, and realize that a strong education is critical to my meeting this goal. I also volunteer at school and with my volleyball club.
I want to attend a college where my entrepreneurial spirit will be fostered, and my passion for competitive volleyball will be nurtured. I want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a role model to other young girls looking to fulfill their dreams and to make my parents proud.
