Denise Cook '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello Recruiting Coaches and Assistants,

By way of this background, please let me introduce myself. My name is Denise Cook and I am a junior at Forest Ridge Academy in Bellevue , Washington . There, I am a varsity volleyball player holding the co-captain position as outside hitter and play DS as well. During my first two years at Holy Names Academy (Seattle), we enjoyed divisional first place (undefeated), along with achieving gold in all tournaments and silver/gold in our sophomore year.

I am 5’4” tall, weighing 110 ponds with a vertical leap of X inches.(Some stats about service speed or styles here?) The strength of my game lies in my very powerful jump serve, ability to dig difficult shots and unwavering determination. During the summer, I am a member of the National NWJRS (Northwest Junior xxxxx). There, I have been nominated as MVP for three consecutive years, for a combined total of eight years as a passionate “volleyballer”.

But, scholastic achievement comes first and foremost as my personal goal, where I enjoy a 3.75 GPA. (I have yet to take the ACT exam). I particularly enjoy art classes and language arts.

Achieving sustained success in volleyball and scholastics is a material part of what drives me daily. I am very fortunate to have a loving family with four siblings who provide me support and encouragement to reach new levels of success.

So, I would love to pursue a Division III college career as my first choice to direct my education in business/marketing and art, along with contributing to the success of their volleyball program as a freshman.

However, I am not limiting myself to only DIII schools, but would be ecstatic to consider all DI and DII opportunities that support my desire to develop in scholastic achievement and college-level athletic competition.
