Personal Statement
Volleyball has been apart of my life since a young age. I have always been very passionate about all aspects of volleyball, but by the end of my first club season I knew I wanted to take it to the next level. I love the competitiveness and high intensity of competing as a team, as well as the team-first nature of my club team. One of my main goals for the next several years is to take every opportunity to touch a ball and get better. My focus is becoming quicker and more efficient with my swing and critiquing my block. Its for this reason, that practice is very important for me. I always give my all in every practice because I know it will set me apart from other players and encourage my teammates to practice harder. This year I completed my second year of playing on a club team. In my first year we placed third in the nation and recently this year we placed first in the region. Throughout these years I have become very connected to my teammates as well as my coaches. I am excited to be playing at an even higher level and being able to develop more relationships and skills. I cant wait to improve on my skills with indoor club, beach, and join summer camps.
As well as athletics, academics are equally important to me. I currently have a 3.8 GPA. One of my biggest challenges is the math course in high school. I have been working and putting several hours into studying daily and successfully helped myself succeed. I am very proud to have maintained between an A to a B+ in geometry this year; finishing last semester with a B+ and finishing this semester with an A. Some of my interest areas are working with children, health, and the outdoors. I am working towards having a career as a nutriention or a pediatric registered nurse. I want to work with people and children in the health department because I feel this job field would be exciting and new to me. The tasks of these jobs would be rewarding to be helping children be more healthy and happy as well as exciting. A few things I am working on this summer is working as a baby sitter 4 days a week and being trained as a swim instructor. These jobs will defiantly help me be successful in future career.
