Sadie Beckenhauer '12 Recruiting Profile

I fill any court or room with my laughter and positive energy while averaging 20 digs per match. My family and friends all know that I am a fun-loving, outgoing, and caring individual who loves to meet new people and experience new things. I am a highly dedicated, determined student. Off of the court, you will find me with friends and family, enjoying music, or finding ways to help my community. My faith is as important to me as the air I breathe. On the court I lead my team and encourage them every play. I focus on the next play and take the game one step at a time. I am extremely coachable and completely open to trying new techniques. From years of playing with different teams, I have seen almost every type of coach and player and have never had any problems and have only grown as a more versatile player. I am a player that when I want something I will chase it as hard as I can. Playing in college is a dream and I am going to chase this dream as hard as I can. Along with the athletic aspect of a college dream, my academic dream is also strong. I put my academics first and focus on grades and my education because I know that is what will carry me through my years. I want to attend a school with a Biology program with emaphsis in Marine or Environmental Sciences, and I am also interested in opportunities to combine science and education majors. As an athlete playing for your school, I want to receive the coaching and resources that allow me to grow as a player and a person. My goal is to make your team the best it can be. At 5' 4" I have a strong vertical, and quick speed that is enhanced by my success as a sprinter and jumper. My ability to read the ball puts me in the right spot, and my leadership qualities ensure that court communication is clear and constant. I can improve your team from wherever I am on the court and will do nothing but work as hard as I can 100% of the time to reach that goal.
