Marquel Waugh '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Marquel Waugh and I graduate June of 2016. I have played volleyball since I was in the 6th grade and it has truly just been the most rewarding sport for me. I have received many awards in volleyball starting my 7th grade year in junior high getting the coaches award. I am a very coachable player and I am very reliable. My 8th grade year in volleyball my team voted me the team MVP. My sophomore year I had went to a Volleyball tournament with my high school team and I received an MVP award that was voted on by other coaches. I received MVP for that Volleyball season as well as well as being 1st team all league I was also voted by my team as the team Captain. My junior year of high school we were just one game short of going to state and I also went on to receive the MVP award, 1st team all league, and team captain for that year of Volleyball. My senior year were just two games short of making it to state. My stats were better then ever averaging about 17.6 kills per game and about 5 blocks per game. I was voted again by my teammates the team captain. I was voted 1st team all league by the other coaches in my league and I also received another MVP award. Academically I have been on Merit Roll for 2 out of my 4 years in high school. My junior year of high school I was honored with an academic excellence award. I work full time at the Quinault Planning department here in Taholah. I managed to maintain a full time job, good grades, and play sports. I am truly hopeful to continue playing the game I love, Volleyball.
