It is truly amazing winning the Wisconsin Division 1 State Championship this year. It has proven to me that hard work does pay off and that I can maintain good grades while being committed to volleyball. When I was seven, I started volleyball camps; I played club on the tens team when I was nine, which is when I realized my true love for the sport. Since then I have had the task of balancing my academics and volleyball. It has meant many late nights and giving up free time, but these sacrifices have been worth all of what I gained from those experiences.
Over the course of playing high school volleyball and club volleyball, I have grown as a player and a person. I have learned how to be committed, hard-working, determined, a leader, vocal, a good teammate, competitive, a goal setter, motivated, and passionate for the sport. I hope to continue improving. I have shown great skill and believe I am able to play at the college level. I would love to make an immediate impact when I begin on a college volleyball team. While playing volleyball, I will continue to put full effort into my classwork and maintain an excellent GPA within the challenging classes I hope to take. I have an inner desire to succeed wherever I may end up; I will continue being a leader and push myself to the best I can be as well as my teammates.
