Bekka Baures '16 Recruiting Profile

 Hi, my name is Bekka Baures. I am a Junior at Cameron High School and graduate in 2016.  I have been playing volleyball for five years including high school and club. I am a player with passion for the game, have a strong work ethic, and strive to make myself the best I can be each day.  I take all the opportunities that life, athletic ability, and volleyball give me. I push myself forward with realistic goals to become a better person and volleyball player. When I set goals, I work very hard to accomplish them with discipline and responsibility.  One way to accomplish my volleyball goals is to lift weights at least 3 times a week during the and before school. I have been improving on squatting at 175 pounds, raising each week.  My main goal after high school is to play for a college team with the same passion, commitment, and dedication I have set for myself.  I have been a varsity starter for the past three seasons and earning an all conference award my sophomore year.  As a club volleyball player, I have been a setter, left side hitter, and back row defensive specialist.  Each year I have been selected as Captain and have lead my teams to successful seasons.  I have been dreaming about playing college volleyball since my freshman year.  My ultimate goal in life is to receive a quality education and to earn a degree in Social Work. I enjoy helping people and participating in community service volunteer work.  I look forward to my future of playing college volleyball, wherever it may be!
