Valerie Every '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Valerie Every, I am a 5'8" setter and outside/rightside hitter from Suamico Wisconsin (just north of Green Bay).

I played club volleyball at Green Bay Power (a club under PoWer Volleyball)  under the direction of Ruth Leitzke. I also played at Bay Port High School where I achieved the honors of Rookie of the Year my junior year and 2nd team all conference my Senior Year. I was also the WIAA Student athlete of the year for my High School.

I  took the year off from playing highly competitive volleyball but am determined to getting back into it next year. Currently I am playing on the Club Volleyball Team at UWSP as well as intermural league  and an off campus lead. I play 4 out of the 7 days a week and have also been working out on these days as well.  

I

Volleyball has taught me so much in life. The ability to work with a team, be a leader, take and adjust to criticism and communicate have become my strong suits because of volleyball. I have also mastered time management and hard work which I have applied to my academic career as well.

I am very interested in playing volleyball at the collegiate level. I love the sport and would like to continue competing at a rigorous and competitive level. I am extremely passionate about the sport and look forward to the opportunity to present my abilities. I want to find a college that not only fits my athletic goals but also my academic goals. I hope to excel in all that I do and set myself up for a successful and happy future.
