As a freshman, our team was runner-up in the Wisconsin State Championship. Following a great start to my high school career, my sophomore year was equally as competitive and challenging, leaving me with a drive to succeed as a upperclassmen. However, this year, my junior year, I was quarantined three weeks before the annual state tournament.
Instead of competing with my team, I watched from a distance while my teammates competed in for our state title. This experience has helped me understand what this sport truly means to me. Volleyball is more than a game, it is an opportunity to express my competitiveness, practice and compete with a group of individuals all working towards the same goal, and learn and grow in my position and as a leader. Being a part of such a competitive high school team taught me teamwork, commitment, leadership skills, and accountability. These skills play a huge role in the person I am today and I believe they will help me become a better version of myself in the future. I am looking for a program that will be competitive and challenging athletically as well as academically. I believe I have the talent to compete at a high level as well as the drive and determination to impact your program. I know I have what it takes to be an asset to your team and I will continue to develop and grow, on and off the court to build a strong foundation for your program.
