Erika Van Engen '16 Recruiting Profile

Academics is the most important part of college for me but I would also love to add volleyball to my collegiate experience. I was recently named Female Athlete of the Year as a Junior at my high school.  I am a well rounded player, playing defense and offense on my club and high school teams.  I am a leader on the court and off. I was floor and team captain on my club team and a captain on my High School team.   I am a 4.0 student and have balanced that with being a 3 sport athlete (volleyball, basketball and track), and obtaining 9 varsity letters in my 3 years of playing.  I believe that playing in more than one sport has improved my agility and instincts as a volleyball player.  I can get to balls and blocks that many other players won't.  I'm dedicated, a hard worker and respect those that coach me.  I am interested in pursuing a pre medical program in college.
