As a senior in high school, I have decided to possibly further my athletic career as a volleyball player. I plan to pursue a career in business, and would love to attend a school with high standards in athletics, as well as in the strength of their business school.
Volleyball has always been my true love. My parents have had a ball in my hands since the time I could walk. I was introduced into the world of club volleyball as young as 7th grade. As I got older, I realized that playing sports for my high school teams were more important to me than specializing in one sport. As a junior I became a three sport athlete (volleyball, basketball, and track) and made the most of my high school athletic career. This decision has made me a more "well-rounded and versatile" athlete.
Academics are always important to me. Ask any student athlete, and they will say one of the hardest part of playing many sports is staying on top of school work. It takes a lot of dedication to maintain good grades and a high GPA and I am proud to say that I have been able to do this. I carry a steady 3.8 GPA and I average mostly A's. My composite ACT score was a 25. I also enrolled in several AP classes my junior and senior year. I passed my Advanced Placement test in AP level Psychology last spring, in which a scored a 4 out of 5. This fall I am enrolled in AP Physics, Calculus, English 101/102 (through the University of Wisconsin-Barron County), and AP US History (through Wisconsin Virtual School) as my highest level classes.
