Volleyball has been one of the most important aspects of my life. Growing up with two older sisters who played volleyball started me off at a young age. I started playing club in 5th grade playing up a year because they didn't have a club team for my age. Ever since then my love and commitment to the sport grew and grew. I also play soccer, and I have found that playing, practicing, and working out is a way to reduce any stress and get away from my problems. These sports have taught me a lot about life and hard work. Also about how to work with a team and time management. I play these sports years around with club, high school, and beach for both. I found a way to balance out family, sports, and academics.
I have great ability on the court as well as off the court. I am a very versatile player and focus on many aspects of volleyball. For my High school team and club, I am an outside and right-side player. I also focus a lot of my back row skills and have played libero for both teams when needed to. I have also been told by many coaches that I have very clean hands and am often chosen to take an out-of-system ball. I am a dedicated, hardworking, and passionate player. I play with integrity on and off the court. I bring a lot of energy to the game, but also a leader who helps the team stay focused and positive. I believe myself to be a coachable player and an encouraging teammate. I don't make excuses nor do I get down on myself and let one bad play change the whole game. I give all my effort during practice and games and I'm always trying to get better at the sport I love.
My goal for college is to play at a competitive level while also earning my college degree and being a dedicated student. At the moment my major is undecided, but my interest in business is growing. I know playing volleyball in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity. My mom got this experience and loved it, while I want to have it for myself. I am ready to put in all the hard work and dedication it takes to be successful at the next level and I belive that I would be an asset to any team.
