Personal Statement
When I think about what to write in this statement, I know I should be highlighting any A+ shining light moments in my life. I could write about being awarded the honours student award at Junior High, or stats on the 6-8 app. But, on reflection, I think it is important to note that in the 16 years I have spent on this planet so far, I think I have shown that I can bounce at the face of challenge and adversity, in my family, at school and at sports with grace and determination.
I don't think that I know it all, but I know I have a motivation to learn, in class and at my sport. I know I can adapt from constructive feedback. I know I work hard, I train hard, I'm first to set up, and stay late to pack down. I will look to lead through example and follow examples through. I look out for the younger kids, and help out the team managers. I think my actions testify that I would always be an asset to a team, and that is as important as a 4.0 GPA or a 100% block rate.
