Hi! I’m Ellen Horton a current 15 year old water polo player! I have been playing for several years and I have not stopped loving it since I started doing it on and off when I was about 9. I sadly had to stop for a while because all of the pools around me were closed due to the pandemic, but once things cooled down and the pools opened again I promptly started playing again.
I am looking for a college that can push me to my limits athletically and more importantly, academically. I’m excited to learn and grow throughout my experiences and change as I become smarter and wiser. I am constantly learning how to handle new and more challenging situations than I have previously faced and I am putting in the work in order to get there.
Some extra fun facts about me are that I am on my school’s FIRST Robotics Team, I am an active participant in Corbett High School’s competitive math team and I plan to stick with it for the rest of my high school career, I am in my school’s band as a French Horn player, I previously worked in a preschool before deciding that babysitting was a bit more my style, and I love cats (like the animal). I love going surfing with my family and making friends with whoever I am around. I also happened to play water polo with Gresham High School my freshman year because my school doesn’t have a team.
