Personal Statement

I am currently in my second semester of grade 12 and am looking to start my university life in the fall of 2020. I am taking a year off from school, however I will continue to train and play competitively with my club team Regina Armada as well as 19U Team Saskatchewan. It has always been my dream to continue water polo into university because it means I can continue to do what I love while getting an education. Water polo never came naturally to me but I push my self and I train as hard as I can in order to reach my full potential. My nine years of water polo experience and dedication to the sport makes me believe that my goals are attainable. I am different from other recruits because I never settle for mediocrity, I always push myself to be the best I can be. I know what I want to do the future and I know the path I need to take in order to reach my goals.

Training

Water sessions

12 hours in the water each week. Water sessions are 1 1/2 hours at noon (Monday. Wednesday, Friday) and 2 hours in the pool plus 1/2 an hour dryland on week nights.
Weight Training

Three hours per week. Martin Academy offers a weight training program Tuesdays and Thursdays a noon for one hour. I also do weight training for one hour Saturday mornings.
