I first started wrestling in Elementary School, but it was in my Sophomore year in high school that I became deeply engrossed and passionate about wrestling. I have since devoted myself to becoming the best wrestler that I can be. Since Freshman year, I have been on a strict weightlifting program and have been wrestling 3+ times a week in the off-season. I have also put a deep emphasis on cardio and stretching, as I know this enhances my wrestling and recovery. I have learned that sleep and nutrition are also critical to keeping my body fueled and rested so that I can wrestle and perform at the highest level.
As team captain of my high school wrestling team, I display leadership on and off the mat. I aspire to teach others what I have learned about overall health, conditioning, and wrestling, and to be the best mentor and teammate that I can be. I aspire to continue this journey throughout college, as I have made it my goal to be a collegiate wrestler. I promise that I will always give it my all, on and off that mat, putting 100% effort into everything I do. I take direction very well and I am always looking to learn new things. I look forward to a coach and team that have these same values and I look forward to wherever this takes me!
