Mason Lucas '25 Recruiting Profile

Wrestling is my ultimate passion and I really want to take it to the next level. I believe a school with a solid program and coaching would help me achieve many goals. I started wrestling when I was 5 years old. I've wrestled Varsity all 3 years and am currently a 2x Iowa state place winner. I've been first team all-conference and second team all-conference as well. My coaches and teammates will tell you I'm one of the hardest workers in the room and a standout leader. I think this is by far the toughest sport of all and I love the mental aspect of it. I think it's unlike any other sport as it's just you and your opponent one-on-one on the mat. This off-season I've been working one-on-one with Joe Colon and Jake Hodges to really prepare for my senior year of competition. I want to be in a room where I will be challenged and strive to make improvements.

I've been a multi-sport Varsity athlete at Carlisle all 3 years. At the completion of my junior year I'll have 8 Varsity letters for wrestling, track and football and achieved academic all-conference 8 times as well. This last wrestling season I was named honorable mention for the academic all-state team. I'm also a 1 year captain of the wrestling team and have been on the leadership council 2 years for football.
