Personal Statement
Before I could walk I have always dreamed of wrestling at the college level. While growing up in Hayfield Minnesota I was told stories about the legends that came from our town. Those stories told to me by my wrestling coach, Brad Heydt, have influenced me by setting high standards and goals for me to try to achieve as a wrestler and a person. There are a lot of things that I have learned while on the mat as a wrestler as well as a person, and there are many obstacles that i have had to overcome to become the wrestler that I have become today and also attain characteristics that i can bring to the table as an athlete as well as a student.
I would like to mention how I became the wrestler that I am. As I mentioned before I have always dreamed of wrestling in college. Wrestling has been a major part of my life.
I became interested in wrestling when i was four years old watching the 2000 summer olympics located in Sydny, Austrailia. it was three o'clock in the morning and I fell asleep with the tv on and I had been awoken by this insane cheering coming from the tv.
During all of the years that I have wrestled I have discovered many traits about my self. I have learned that I can over come anything, that I am a self started, dedicated and to leave it on the mat. Yes you have many matches that you do not preform the way you think you should have, the 2 sec delay reaction and you get turned, the should I haves or the might have beens, I try to learn from them and leave the rest on the mat. To look at myself as a better person for each match I wrestle.
My academic goals I wish to achieve in high school is to obtain a 3.5 overall GPA as well as score at least a 32 on my act tests so i can go to college. I also wish to earn some athletic scholarships. To wrestle and attend school is my ultimate dream .
Thank you for visiting me,
