I'm looking forward to the privilege of attending and wrestling at the collegiate level. I have been wrestling and competing since I was five years old and I have a great deal of wrestling left in my tank. Sadly Covid19 has put a damper on my 2021 season, we had hoped to have at least thirty-five matches over the summer break. With that being said I refocused and put my resources into weight and strength training as well as training with two national wrestling clubs. (Apex Wrestling, Shore-Thing Wrestling) We are confident that our wrestling season here in New Jersey will start in early March, and hopefully, we will have an individual tournament. My goal this year is to build on last year's success and wrestle my best all the way to Atlantic City. (State Tournament)
I have been fortunate to start Varsity since my Freshman Year and have progressed greatly under the guidance of my high school and club coaches. In my Junior year, I placed second in District 32 in a very crowded 120 weight class while at the same time beating other wrestlers that I lost to the year before. This year I want to continue my success bettering myself and finish out my high school career on top. I know with all the support from my family and coaches, nothing is impossible. A big part of what has made me successful in high school and in life has been my support system. Family, coaches, and teammates have always been a big part of my life, I'm sure I will carry that trait at the college level.
My goal moving forward in the next four years is to attend college and join a wrestling program. I want to be the best team member and even a better competitor. Academically, I would like to pursue a career in Fish and Wildlife Service, with the possibility of working on the Federal Level. I know I have a long way to go, but I'm excited about the opportunity to work hard to achieve my goals. I will never stop pushing myself, I'm very excited for the next chapter in my life. God willing, with a lot of hard work and dedication it will come true.
