Hello Coach,

I have been wrestling since I was six years old. When I first started, I did not have the success that I wanted. But, after many additional practices, I began to have the success I had worked for. After a few trips to the state tournament, I began to think about wrestling after high school. Now I work extra hard in the practice room and in the classroom to achieve that goal.

I am a very hard worker, a leader, and also someone who is able to be coached. I work very hard, going to extra practices during the season and off season. I lead by example. When teammates see me going as hard as I can in practice, they see what they need to be doing to become better. If a teammate still screws around, I call them out so they, and their practice partner can get better. I am not too good to not listen to coaches though. I have always had much respect for my coaches and always listen to what they say. Coaching is how I got to where I am today.

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high and distinguished honor roll. I volunteer at all the school events. I also volunteer at the elementary practices and tournaments. I am in my school's gifted program and attend all of the events through the program. In addition, I am also my class president.

I want to go to college where I can wrestle, but ultimately, to prepare for my career. I would like to have a good education, so I can get a good job after college. I want to have a good life where I can provide for myself and my family. I am lucky to use athletics, to get a good education, which is most important.
