My goal in my wrestling career is to get into an academically challenging university where I can both compete on their wrestling team, and dive into challenging classes. I transitioned my way into wrestling after a successful 7 years of hip hop dancing. My wrestling career started when I was in 7th grade, only 4 years ago, and since then I have surpassed many wrestlers that have been wrestling for their whole life. My club coach, Joseph Forsman won a gold medal in the world title for jiu jitzu and has taught me at an accelerated rate how to become the best wrestler I can be both mentally and physically. I was born in Japan and can speak Japanese and English fluently, as well as write, read, comprehend, and speak a decent amount of Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. I was raised in an Asian family, the pinnacle of demonstrating respect at all times. Since 6th grade, I have taken all honors and AP classes for all classes that had that option. I have only made it thus far through hard work, determination, and inspiration from the people I surround myself with.
