Personal Statement

My goal for college is to study and become an Engineer and Cyber Security. What makes me a good candidate for your team is that I am a hard working, dedicated, focused, committed, and coachable individual. Wrestling has taught me discipline and has pushed me to my limit of my mental and physical strength. What makes me different from others is that I work very hard to execute every thing to perfection. I always believe that there is more work to be done not only in athletics, but also academics and self growth. I am encouraging to my team and classmates and try hard to push them to succeed with inspiration, encouragement, and a positive attitude.

2013 Prince George Royals (Youth)
Notes: I Achieved first place in Youth States my very first year under the coaching and mentoring of Coach DW. Coach DW taught the basic fundamentals.
2013 Fort Lee Wrestling Team 'Wolf Packs (Youth)
Notes: Instrumental in training fundamental take downs, bottom and top work in my younger years for Folk style. Coach Joe Lathwood continued to work with me during the off season by allowing me to assist with coaching as well as working with me one on one. He also on his spare time took me compete in the Open Division Tournament in Gloucester, VA

During off season ,Coach Matthew Craig continues to effortlessly train youth in the fundamentals of wresting styles, techniques and execution. Training involves special attention to building character and discipline. During the summer, Coach Craig , has exposed me to Free Style and Folk Style wrestling. While under his coaching and training , I've competed in a few VAWA & AAU Tournaments gaining more experience and knowledge. Last year, during off season , Coach Craig signed the team to wrestle in the East Coat Nationals for the first time and I placed 5th. Coach Craig emphasized hip toss and stance movements during our training sessions.
