Personal Statement
Hello, I am Jared Bonato. I am 6 foot, 2 inches tall and weigh 170 pounds. Currently, I am attending ThunderRidge High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I have a 3.73/4.00 GPA with honors and AP classes and an ACT score of 27 (Superscore). Academics are equally as important to me as athletics. I will graduate in May, 2015. In addition to playing baseball for ThunderRidge, I played on a Team Colorado traveling 18U Select club baseball team this summer. This past spring I was on the Varsity high school team which participated in the NHSI tournament in Cary, NC and made it to the Final 8 of the Colorado State High School playoffs. My main positions are as an outfielder and pitcher. In addition to baseball, I spend time conditioning in the weight room and also play high school basketball and Varsity track and field. Balancing three sports along with a difficult class schedule has taught me organization, determination, dedication, and responsibility. I see myself as a team player and a leader both on and off the field. Outside of academics and athletics, I am a Link Crew Leader (nominated position) at school and help incoming freshman adjust to high school life. I am also an active member in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) to help better prepare me for the business world. I am open to consider any geographic location for college; however, I am pursuing schools that are regarded as having a high academic reputation in Business and/or Sports Management. I would like to earn a scholarship to play baseball to help pay for a 4 year bachelor’s degree. I want to better myself and further my education so I can have a professional career in a field that I enjoy and have a prosperous life after college.
