Michael Tight '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael Tight, and I am a primary right-handed pitcher from Lighthouse Point, Florida. I started playing baseball when I was four years old, and I am hoping for an opportunity to continue playing the game that I love while also receiving a great education. I am extremely hard-working in all aspects of my life, and I have good time-management skills that come from balancing my extremely rigorous academic courseload, with my baseball training. Also, I am very coachable and always love hearing how I can improve to be the best version of myself. 

Having been selected as a player captain as a sophomore on varsity, I certainly have the characteristics of a leader and great teammate. I always encourage my teammates to be the best they can be, and I lead by example. Throughout my baseball career, I have been blessed with so many great teammates and coaches, and I can confidently say that I learned something from every one of them. I also believe my attitude separates me from other players. I am humble and allow my hard work to show on the field. Even when I am put in difficult situations, I have complete confidence in myself and have fun playing the game. In fact, during my Freshman year, I came into pitch with bases loaded 1 out, and a one-run lead during the district semifinal game. I quickly settled in, striking out two batters to help my team move on to the district championship. 

Baseball has always been a part of my life, and I can't imagine life without it. My academic and athletic balance, as well as my love for the game, make me an ideal recruit for your 2025 class. Thank you for taking the time to read about me!
