Shaydan Lovediro '21 Recruiting Profile

Aloha, 

My name is Shaydan Lovediro and I would first and foremost like to thank you for taking the time to read this.  My collegiate goals is to play for a college baseball team, but at the same time I need a good education specifically in the engineering field. Athletics I feel is just as important as academics which is why I balance out baseball and school in my life today. I feel I am a good player for any team because of my work ethic and teamwork skills. I am always persevering and trying to become a better player everyday. One good example is my velocity has increased almost by 10 mph in just a one year span because of the time and effort I put in to improve. One thing that makes me different is my academics because I focus on trying to maintain good grades, that I apply it onto the field. I used logic from academics and apply it to help me understand what I need to do. I like to use my lessons off the field to help me on the field and the lessons I learn from on the field to help me off the field. For example, when pitching I need to keep my composure and persevere, just like in school if I do bad on one test I can't get down on myself, I need to keep studying to do better. To me, Baseball is more than a sport, but a lifestyle and a necessity in my life, which is why I want to continue playing.
